Managing Side Effects

Dealing with the side effects of melanoma treatment can be a challenge. Side effects such as nausea, vomiting, fatigue, change of taste and smell, and loss of appetite can affect your life at work and at home.

Your treatment team will talk to you about what side effects you can expect from treatment, and suggest ways to manage them. You may also be able to talk to a nurse counselor to help you manage side effects. A nurse counselor may follow up with you during treatment and help you find ways to work through the side effects that bother you the most.
